About the Role
A specialist SEN school in Northolt is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children and young people with a range of additional and complex learning needs within a supportive and well-structured environment.
The school supports pupils with needs including Autism (ASC), SLD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays, with a strong focus on communication, engagement, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for SEN learners
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual EHCP targets
- Support pupils’ academic, social, emotional, and communication development
- Create a structured, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Use sensory, visual, and practical learning strategies
- Support behaviour regulation using positive and consistent approaches
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and SEN professionals
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
- Contribute to curriculum planning and wider school development
What We’re Looking ForEssential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working within SEN or mainstream settings
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to differentiate learning for complex needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable:
- Experience within a specialist SEN school or provision
- Knowledge of ASC, SLD, SEMH, or communication needs
- Experience using PECS, Makaton, or sensory approaches
- EYFS experience (desirable but not essential)

Pay: £230.31-£321.51 per day
