MAK Community Care is looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated Mental Health Support Workers to join our team in the Gainsborough area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support adults with mental health needs, autism, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities within shared accommodation and community settings. You will help individuals live independently, achieve their goals, and access meaningful activities within their local community.
Desirable Requirements

Main Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs
- Assist with daily living tasks including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting
- Support people to attend appointments and access community activities
- Encourage independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion
- Assist with personal care where required
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Follow support plans, risk assessments, and company policies
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and positive outcomes
- Support individuals with their physical, emotional, social, and wellbeing needs
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Are caring, respectful, and non-judgemental
- Have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Can work confidently with minimal supervision
- Are passionate about supporting people to lead fulfilling lives
- Can work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
- Have previous care or support work experience (preferred but not essential as full training is provided)
Additional Information
- An Enhanced DBS Check is required for this role due to the nature of regulated care services.
