Senior Supervising Social Worker – Fostering
Location: Slough
Pay Rate: £40.80 per hour
Contract: Full-Time | Hybrid Working
Sanctuary Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Supervising Social Worker to join a dedicated fostering service in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced children’s social worker who is passionate about supporting foster carers and improving outcomes for children and young people in care.
This rewarding role involves working closely with foster carers to provide supervision, guidance, and ongoing support, ensuring children are placed in safe, stable, and nurturing home environments. You will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of fostering practice while helping carers develop the skills and confidence needed to meet the complex needs of children in care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a caseload of foster carers
- Undertake regular supervision visits and annual reviews
- Provide support, guidance, and professional advice to foster carers
- Contribute to placement stability and positive outcomes for children and young people
- Ensure compliance with fostering legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures
- Prepare high-quality reports and attend relevant meetings and panels
- Work collaboratively with children’s services, partner agencies, and multidisciplinary teams
- Promote best practice in fostering and safeguarding at all times
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England
- Proven experience working within children’s services and fostering
- Strong knowledge of National Minimum Standards and Fostering Services Regulations
- Excellent assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload effectively
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
