Wayman Education is seeking an innovative and driven Business Teacher to join a highly successful department at a fantastic secondary school in Braintree. This full-time, permanent position is scheduled to start in September 2026 and welcomes applications from both experienced practitioners looking for a fresh environment and ambitious Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging Business Studies lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 (including GCSE, A-Level, and vocational pathways such as BTEC or CTECH).
- Foster a deep interest in real-world commercial structures, financial markets, and business management through dynamic, interactive teaching methods.
- Assess, track, and report on the academic progress and attainment of pupils in line with exam board specifications and whole-school tracking data.
- Utilize effective adaptive teaching strategies to challenge high-attaining students while offering robust, scaffolded support for those with SEND or EAL needs.
- Contribute to the wider life of the business faculty, participating in standardization, enterprise initiatives, and collaborative planning to continuously elevate student outcomes.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS, alongside a degree in Business Studies, Management, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: A proven track record of teaching business courses within a UK secondary school or sixth form setting (including successful ITT/PGCE placements).
- Skills: Strong up-to-date subject knowledge, confident classroom management strategies, and the ability to link theoretical concepts to current financial and economic news.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
