The Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Cook to prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for the children in our care.
You’ll be responsible for creating healthy menus, managing food safety standards, and ensuring all children’s dietary needs are met.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 3months - 11 years
- Plan menus in line with dietary requirements, allergies, and preferences.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Follow food safety and allergy management procedures.
- Work with the nursery team to make mealtimes positive and enjoyable.
- Manage stock, deliveries, and food storage efficiently.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in catering or cooking for children (nursery, school, or similar setting preferred).
- Knowledgeable about food hygiene, allergens, and nutrition for young children.
- Qualified in Level 2/ 3 Food Hygiene / Food Safety (or willing to obtain).
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Passionate about providing healthy meals that children will love!
(Experience as a Nursery Cook, School Cook, Kitchen Assistant, or Catering Assistant is highly desirable.)
