We have a fantastic opportunity for a Nursery Manager to join our Little Learners and Forest Learners site in September 2026
Little Learners nursery and Forest Learners Nursery form part of the Bows and Arrows group - we run 7 nurseries throughout Ipswich. We are a not-for-profit company and therefore, any funds are placed back into the nurseries to ensure the best outcomes for the children that attend.
The nursery operates all-year-round for children ages 0-5. Under 2's have their own separate provision on the same site known as Forest Learners. They recently received an Outstanding inspection result from Ofsted. Our larger site Little Learners takes children aged 2-5years and is also an Outstanding setting.
Reporting to our Operations Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 15 practitioners and be part of the group management team whilst gaining the support and help of five other Nursery Managers in the group.
Our Bows and Arrows Central Business Support team manages finances and funding, so you can concentrate on the delivery of education and care.
You will need -
- At least one years’ experience in a management position/room leader role
- At least one years’ experience of managing a team of people
- A relevant level 3 qualification or higher (a higher qualification will be more desirable)
You must have a deep understanding of the following -
- The theory of child development
- The content of the EYFS framework
- Age & stage appropriate behaviours
- Safeguarding
- SEN
- Health & safety in relation to environment

HOURS: 36-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, all-year-round. You must be able to work between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm (specific shifts between those times).
