About the role
We are looking for an Laboratory Quality Advisor to join our busy team at Northumbrian Water. Reporting to the Accreditation Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring we maintain the high quality of service provided to both internal and external customers, as well as meeting the standards set by our various regulators.
As part of the team, you’ll work closely with our internal auditors, taking responsibility for monitoring quality and performance and helping to maintain the quality systems within our laboratories and sampling teams.
You will also ensure that scheduled audits are completed on time and that any actions resulting from audit findings are addressed promptly.
About you
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a scientific environment with knowledge of ISO17025, Drinking Water Testing Specification, and MCERTS. Familiarity with GMP/GLP requirements is also important.
You should have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear effective and accurate reports.
Effective time management and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines are essential. You’ll need to work well with others and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be comfortable analysing data and have strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft packages. A HNC in a scientific discipline is preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered.
