Monkey Throttle is a specialist motorcycle accident management company dedicated to supporting riders following non-fault motorcycle accidents.
We work alongside motorcycle dealerships, repairers, MOT centres, training schools, recovery operators and motorcycle businesses to ensure riders receive the support they need following an accident, including replacement motorcycles, vehicle recovery, repairs and personal injury assistance.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Motorcycle Business Development Manager to establish and develop our partner network across Southern England.
The Role
This is not a traditional sales role. We are looking for someone who can build trusted relationships within the motorcycle industry and become a genuine ambassador for the Monkey Throttle brand.
This is a field-based role focused on developing long-term relationships throughout the motorcycle industry.
You will be responsible for introducing Monkey Throttle to motorcycle dealerships, independent workshops, repair centres, MOT stations, training schools, motorcycle cafés and industry partners, helping them understand how our services benefit both their customers and their business.
You will become the face of the Monkey Throttle brand throughout your territory and play a key role in establishing us as the preferred motorcycle accident support partner.
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will play a key role in shaping the future growth of the Monkey Throttle brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a network of motorcycle industry partners.
- Visit motorcycle dealerships, repairers, MOT centres, motorcycle cafés, training schools and industry venues throughout Southern England, including well-known destinations such as Rykas, Loomies and other key locations within the motorcycle community.
- Build relationships with business owners, dealer principals, service managers, workshop managers, motorcycle clothing and accessory retailers.
- Promote Monkey Throttle's accident management solutions.
- Generate referral opportunities from partner businesses.
- Attend motorcycle events, ride-outs, trade shows and networking opportunities.
- Deliver product and service training to partner businesses.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and activity reporting.
- Work closely with our marketing and operational teams to support growth initiatives.
- Develop opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and brand collaborations.
- Take ownership of a designated territory and be responsible for establishing Monkey Throttle as the preferred motorcycle accident support partner throughout the region.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Passion and in-depth knowledge of motorcycles and motorcycle culture
- Self-motivated and organised.
- Comfortable travelling throughout the South of England.
- Full UK motorcycle and car driving licence
- Strong commercial awareness and professional presentation.
Highly Desirable
- A genuine passion for motorcycles and a solid understanding of motorcycle culture and the riding community
- Experience working within the motorcycle industry
- Existing relationships with motorcycle dealerships, workshops or industry contacts
