Maintenance Electrician

Up to £40,000 + £150 Standby (1 in 4) + Benefits

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established on-site engineering team supporting a large commercial facility across the Sedgefield and Darlington area.

The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and building services systems, ensuring the site is maintained to a high operational and compliance standard.
Key duties include:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance
- Fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of electrical systems
- Working on lighting, power, and general building services
- Supporting site compliance and statutory maintenance requirements
- Completing job reports and maintenance documentation
- Working closely with the on-site engineering team and client representatives
- Participating in a 1 in 4 callout rota
About the Environment
This is a highly regulated site where health & safety and compliance are critical. Engineers must be comfortable working to strict site procedures, including PPE requirements such as gowns, hairnets, and hygiene protocols.
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ / City & Guilds Electrical qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience in FM, commercial maintenance, or building services
- Strong fault-finding and reactive maintenance skills
- Professional, client-facing communication style
- Proactive and reliable approach to work
- Full UK driving licence
