Long established, 70+ years, precast concrete manufacturers supplying a wide range of construction projects for large and small Main Contractors and subcontractors across Scotland and Northern England. Specialists in structural precast products. All roles are located at our Kelso works, local applicants only please.
Workshop Operatives; Concrete filling & finishing Operative, wetcast. Skills in plastering and or concrete mixing, placement, compaction and hand finishing experience would be advantageous. Filling and float finishing precast concrete products to high standards, mainly structural precast stairs, landings, columns, walls. In house, training on production methods will be provided. Currently one position.
Role would suit someone with previous experience of concrete or joinery and plastering/trowel finishing skills. CSCS card would be beneficial. Reading and understanding of technical drawings and rebar schedules.
Full on the job training by colleagues will be provided. Plant certs for dumper and or forklift driving may be advantageous, training can be provided.
Enthusiasm, willingness to learn new skills, organised, conscientious, punctuality and reliability alongside being able to work as part of a small team are musts for this job.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, immediate start
Wage: £13.41 per hour basic rate, dependant on age, OT x1.5. Accrual to variable full bonus over TBC months, rates £1.57/hr current .
Regular Working Hours: 07:00 to 15:15 Mon to Thurs, 14:15 finish Friday, 39 hour week, OT as required.
