We are seeking a GMC Specialist Registered Dermatologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team.
This is an exciting opportunity to establish and grow a private dermatology practice within an established premium clinic, working alongside experienced aesthetic practitioners and doctors in a collaborative environment.
The Role
You will provide specialist dermatology consultations, diagnosis and treatment planning for a broad range of skin concerns, including both medical and cosmetic dermatology.
Conditions commonly seen include:
- Acne and acne scarring
- Rosacea and facial redness
- Hyperpigmentation and melasma
- Hair loss and scalp disorders
- Keloid and hypertrophic scarring
- Sun damage and photoageing
- Skin lesions and mole assessments
- General dermatological conditions requiring specialist management
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dermatology consultations and develop personalised treatment plans.
- Diagnose, manage and treat a broad range of skin, hair and scalp conditions.
- Prescribe and oversee appropriate medical and pharmaceutical treatments.
- Perform dermatological procedures and treatments within their scope of practice.
- Assess, treat and manage conditions including acne, acne scarring, rosacea, pigmentation disorders, hair loss, keloid scars and age-related skin concerns.
- Perform skin lesion assessments, mole checks and skin cancer screening where appropriate.
- Deliver or oversee dermatological treatments and procedural interventions.
- Assess patient suitability for laser and energy-based treatments and contribute to treatment planning.
- Work collaboratively with the clinic's medical and aesthetic team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Support the development and growth of the clinic's dermatology services.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold the highest standards of patient care, safety and professionalism.
Essential Requirements
- GMC registration with licence to practise.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Dermatology.
- Professional indemnity cover.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently within a private practice setting.
Desirable Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with experience or a strong clinical interest in:
- Laser dermatology and energy-based skin treatments.
- IPL, BBL, fractional laser or similar technologies.
- Acne and acne scar management.
- Pigmentation disorders and melasma.
- Rosacea and vascular skin concerns.
- Hair loss and scalp disorders.
- Scar management and skin rejuvenation.
- Cosmetic dermatology and prescription skincare.
- Working within a private aesthetic or skin health clinic environment.
- Phlebotomy and venepuncture skills.
