Night Care Assistant
Position
We currently have an opportunity for a special person to fit the role of a Health Care Assistant for Nights within our residential home Camplehaye located in Lamerton Devon
We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals, to provide support to promote and enable a homely environment that meets the varied health and social needs of elderly adults who have a diagnosis of dementia.
Aspects of the position
- To be part of a team, to ensure individual resident’s needs are met.
- To aid the smooth running of the night routines and needs of the home, and to liaise with the management team as and when required
- To ensure all observations, incidents and information concerning the resident’s welfare is reported and recorded in line with organizational policy
- To ensure consistency in approach and that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- To contribute to decisions and changes to individual’s programmes, care plans, and follow directions given as a result.
- Liaise with family members and outside visitors with a professional attitude and approach
- Assist in maintaining the overall standard of practice and a high standard of care
- Role Requirements
- Experience is desirable but not essential
- Good communication and listening skills are essential
- A DBS check will be required for successful applicants
- A full 3 month Induction training period will be provided, this includes all mandatory training requirements and additional client specific training. Opportunity is provided for further development including QCF up to level 2.
- Shifts start 7.00pm and end at 8.00am.
- Transport will be needed as bus service is not daily.
- 39 hours a week, working alternate weekends. Fixed Rota.
