We are currently hiring for the role of automotive preparer/detailer to assist our paint protection film installers with the preparation of vehicles before they undergo PPF. The role also includes stand alone detailing such as maintenance washes, machine polishing and ceramic coating application.
This role is varied and would suit an already established detailer or hobbyist looking to join a solid team and build on their existing skillset in a fast paced, exciting business. The role would suit someone who already has an understanding of detailing including safe wash processes, machine polishing, decontamination & the application of ceramic coatings however training can be provided for the right candidate. Career development also available through PPF training for the right candidate.
The role
- Prepare all vehicles for detailing/PPF using a safe wash method, perform light decontamination and ensure the vehicles are ready for PPF/coating application.
- Complete paintwork enhancement and paint correction to new and used vehicles, including machine polishing, ceramic coating application and interior cleaning.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties in the PPF bays, ensuring cleanliness is always maintained.
- Ensure any customers vehicle that leaves Assetti is cleaned to a high standard
- Movement of high value cars in/around the workshop and PPF bay areas.
What we are looking for
- At least one years of previous experience within detailing, with knowledge of using machine polishers and other detailing related tools and products.
- An existing knowledge of the application of ceramic coatings (desired but not essential)
- Excellent time keeping skills and an attention to detail, with a can-do work ethic
- Great team working, lone working and communication skills, being flexible around overtime with a desire to always meet client expectations.
- An individual who is passionate about cars, detailing & all things automotive.
- Full UK driving licence essential
We welcome applicants not currently in the industry who have the skillset and work ethic from having detailing as a hobby. We will provide training and development opportunities throughout this role for both detailing and paint protection film application.

Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
