Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Paint Sprayer to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles, This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive refinishing and technical craftsmanship.
We work to BS10125. Knowledge of this standard and current experience working within an accident repair centre is absolutely essential. ATA / NVQ3 will be required for this job role, you must either have this qualification or have held it in the past.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality.
- Mix paints and coatings accurately according to colour specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
- Operate spray guns and other power tools efficiently to apply paint evenly across vehicle surfaces.
- Use hand tools for surface preparation, minor repairs, and finishing touches.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including proper disposal of waste materials.
- Conduct quality checks on painted surfaces to identify imperfections or inconsistencies.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Proven experience in vehicle painting or automotive refinishing is essential
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle surfaces and painting techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling vehicle parts or materials.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently within deadlines.
