Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Retail Manager to lead the ongoing success of our new Southwold store. This is a key leadership role responsible for building and developing a high-performing team, embedding a strong understanding of our brand, and delivering outstanding commercial and customer results from opening day onward.
You will take full ownership of store performance, overseeing daily operations while creating a positive, brand-led culture that reflects who we are. Alongside core retail management, you will play a role in supporting in-store activations and community initiatives that strengthen our local presence and bring the brand to life.

Key Responsibilities
Store Leadership
- Act as the senior leader in-store, setting standards for performance, behaviour, and customer experience.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-energy team culture with strong communication and accountability.
- Get involved in the opening of a new stores, ensuring operational readiness, team onboarding, and brand standards are met from day one.
- Build, recruit, train, and develop a motivated retail team aligned with brand values and service expectations.
Brand & Customer Experience
- Develop a deep understanding of the brand, products, and community, translating this into a consistent in-store experience.
- Ensure every customer receives a welcoming, engaging, and brand-aligned shopping experience.
- Lead by example on the shop floor, setting the tone for service, styling, and product knowledge.
- Maintain visual merchandising and store presentation in line with brand guidelines and seasonal direction.
- Organise and host community driven events to the store.
Commercial Performance & Operations
- Drive sales performance, achieving store targets and KPIs including conversion and ATV.
- Manage daily store operations including rotas, opening and closing procedures, and reporting.
- Oversee stock management, deliveries, replenishment tracking, and inventory accuracy.
- Analyse sales and performance data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
Community Engagement & Activations
- Support the planning and delivery of in-store events, product launches, and community activations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to execute brand-led initiatives in-store.
- Build relationships with local customers, creatives, and partners to strengthen community connections.
- Gather customer and team feedback to inform future retail and community initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a retail management or senior leadership role (essential).
- Experience recruiting, building, and developing retail teams, ideally in a new or growing store.
- Strong commercial acumen with confidence in driving sales and KPIs.
- A clear understanding of how to deliver a consistent, brand-led customer experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and calm under pressure.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front.
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends as part of a 40-hour schedule.
- Genuine passion for fashion and community-driven retail.
- Experience supporting or leading in-store events or brand activations.
