Your Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Therapeutic Carer to support an adult male who lives with his family in Loughton and enjoys hobbies such as watching movies. To be successful in this role, you must have worked with previous clients who have a brain injury (stroke etc). You will:
- Support daily living activities (washing, dressing, cooking, mobility)
- Help practice rehabilitation exercises
- Encourage cognitive and behavioural strategies (memory aids, routines)
- Assist with community access (shopping, social activities)
- Monitor changes in mood, fatigue, or symptoms and reports back to the multi-disciplinary teams
- Reinforce therapy goals set by specialists such as Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Occupational Therapy and carry out parts of a therapy programme. For example, practice prescribed exercises, communication strategies and practicing everyday tasks using memory tools or structuring routines

What We’re Looking For
- At least 12 months of therapeutic care experience
- Car driver with access to your own vehicle
- Experience working with clients who have a brain injury
- Compassion, professionalism, and reliability
- Good communication skills and IT confidence
- Willingness to be part of a family-centred care team
- Hold an understanding of safeguarding
- Ability to recognise deterioration in both psychological and physical health
