Graduate Project Engineer

Location: Altrincham, Greater Manchester (Hybrid working - 2 days per week WFH)
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8am - 4:30pm, Friday: 8am - 2:30pm
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 p.a. + Company Benefits
We are currently working with an innovative and fast-growing engineering organisation within the maritime and offshore sector, who are seeking a Graduate Project Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a business at the forefront of emissions monitoring technology, supporting global efforts to reduce environmental impact within the shipping industry.
Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, this role offers the chance to work on complex, high-profile projects for leading shipyards and offshore clients worldwide.

Responsibilities

Supporting the successful delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Preparing installation drawings, schematics, and technical documentation packages.

Developing project plans, methods of work, and risk assessments (including HAZID).

Assisting with the installation of mechanical and electrical systems on ocean-going vessels and offshore assets.

Working closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth project execution.

Identifying and mitigating risks associated with offshore and marine environments.

Contributing to continuous improvement of project processes, systems, and documentation.

Supporting project lifecycle activities from planning and preparation through to execution and completion.
Experience / Skills Required

Degree, HND or HNC in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.

Working knowledge of CAD software, ideally AutoCAD.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and customers.

Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

Experience within marine or offshore environments would be advantageous but not essential.
