We are currently looking for an experienced Plumber to join our growing team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of first and second fix plumbing on residential construction projects.
- Install hot and cold water services, waste pipework, soil stacks, and drainage systems.
- Install and commission bathrooms, cloakrooms, kitchens, utility rooms, and sanitary ware.
- Install radiators, underfloor heating systems, cylinders, pipework, valves, and associated heating components.
- Carry out plumbing works for loft conversions, extensions, refurbishments, and new build residential projects.
- Diagnose plumbing faults and carry out repairs, maintenance, and replacements where required.
- Pressure test and commission plumbing installations to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, plumbing layouts, and mechanical specifications accurately.
- Coordinate effectively with electricians, carpenters, plasterers, decorators, and site managers to ensure projects progress efficiently.
- Measure, order, and organise materials, ensuring work is completed with minimal waste.
- Maintain excellent workmanship with attention to detail throughout every stage of installation.
- Carry out snagging, testing, and final commissioning before project handover.
- Ensure all work complies with current Water Regulations, Building Regulations, and Health & Safety legislation.
- Keep site managers updated on project progress, material requirements, and any issues affecting programme.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment.
- Travel to projects throughout Bristol and surrounding areas as required.
Minimum Skills & Experience Required
- Strong experience in first fix and second fix plumbing.
- Experience installing full bathroom suites and kitchens.
- Experience with central heating systems, radiators, and underfloor heating.
- Experience with unvented hot water cylinders (advantageous).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plumbing layouts.
- Strong knowledge of domestic plumbing systems and Building Regulations.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Competent using all plumbing hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and pipe installation systems.
- Experience working on loft conversions, extensions, renovations, and residential refurbishments preferred.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent qualification preferred).
- Gas Safe Registration would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence required.
