Vehicle Weighing Solutions are now recruiting for road based Service Engineers to join our rapidly expanding On-Board weighing team.
The ideal candidate will have previous field-based engineering experience with auto electrical, mechanical experience along with strong customer facing skills.
The candidate must be flexible and be willing to travel throughout the UK as required with occasional overnight stays.
Working closely with the service team the candidate will be responsible for proactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair.
Following a significant growth in sales we are looking for engineers in the South, South East, South West and the Home Counties.
Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the Service team to deliver customer support
- Provide technical support to customers.
· Proactively provide customers with system guidance and recommendations
· Take responsibility for personal development and identify personal training requirement’s
- As required attend regular engineer meetings
- Where appropriate install new systems at Body builder or customer locations
- Site based product upgrades as and when required
- Site based product repairs
- Site based planned maintenance
- Annual calibrations
- Prepared to stay away overnight where required, sometimes at short notice
Key Skills
- Previous experience with vehicle based weighing systems is preferable, but full training will be given
- Passion to deliver first-class customer service.
- Ability to listen and comprehend customer enquiries and take appropriate action as required.
- Able to manage own time and demonstrate personal organisation.
- Effective team-player, with the ability to recognise and use different strengths of own team to build better outcomes.
- Embraces opportunities to take on new or additional responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to match appropriate communication channel to task and to audience.
· Able to demonstrate sound commercial awareness in all aspects of the role, including awareness of the implications their role has on the wider business

Education and Experience
· Basic Microsoft Office skills are essential.
· Experience of working in a transport or automotive environment is essential.
Driving Licence
· Full driving licence required.
