We’re a successful furniture company looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our amazing team. This is a physically demanding role that requires strength, stamina, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. You'll be handling heavy furniture, loading and unloading deliveries, and keeping up with a high-paced workflow.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our journey on the Day Shift (07:00 – 15:45). There may also be a requirement to provide cover for our Delivery Drivers when needed.

What about you?
To be successful in this role you will:
· Pick, pack, wrap and load/unload goods onto/off vehicles, making sure all items are checked and present and paperwork completed correctly.
· Use MHE equipment including forklift trucks / VNA’s / pump trucks for the safe movement of stock in the warehouse.
· Support assembly/manufacturing work as organised by Warehouse Supervisor.
· Ensure premises including warehouses and yard are kept tidy, clean and safe following 5S standards/methods.
· Ensure all goods handling is done in a safe manner following all H&S guidelines.
· Carry out daily stock checks as requested by line manager to support stock accuracy in the warehouse.
· Quality check all outbound goods to ensure no damages or faults to the goods and that they are clean and packaged accordingly.
· Ensure goods are moved/stored efficiently and carefully to ensure no damages.
· Ensure all relevant documentation is provided to drivers for deliveries/collections.
· Support with maintaining MHE equipment to ensure they are kept in good working order.
· To be flexible to divert to other tasks, roles, and shift times according to the dictate of management.
Have you got the following skills?
- Clean driving license with van driving experience
- Reliable and punctual
- Hard worker
- Physically fit
- Ability to work alone or within a team.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment - minimum 5 years.
- Previous experience working with a WMS system and picking stock using handheld terminals.

Pay: £26,500.00-£28,000.00 per year
