Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals in their own homes. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in clients’ lives by assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently within a supportive team environment. Previous experience in care homes or home care settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Duties
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Helping with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as per care plans
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding if required
- Providing companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness
- Assisting with household tasks including light cleaning and laundry
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided in accordance with organisational policies
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care delivery
- Using IT systems to update care records and document client progress
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities when necessary
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with developing or following care plans is advantageous
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
- Valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate client transportation
- Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families

Pay: £12.21-£19.27 per hour
