MCG Recruitment are supporting a quality hospitality group in the search for a Sous Chef to join a friendly and well-established kitchen team.
Our Sous Chefs are culinary creatives who play a key role in supporting the Head Chef, leading kitchen operations, and ensuring the team delivers high-quality dishes in a busy, fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform consistently under pressure while maintaining excellent standards of presentation and taste.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations
Help lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff
Ensure food is prepared, cooked, and presented consistently and on time
Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation standards
Assist in developing new menu items and specials
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment
Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Skills & Experience
Strong culinary ability with focus on quality and presentation
Solid understanding of cooking techniques and ingredients
Experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency
Calm and effective under pressure
High attention to detail

Salary: Up to £24.00 per hour INCL TRONC AND BONUS
Contract : 48 hours
