As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and high-quality food to our customers. You will be responsible for various tasks within the restaurant, ensuring that every guest has a positive dining experience. Duties
- Operational Oversight: Manage the daily opening and closing procedures of the shop, ensuring the premises are secure and ready for business.
- Team Support: Aid with staff training and mentorship to maintain high performance and service standards across the team.
- Food Excellence: Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Customer Experience: Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food, and addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
- Inventory Management: Efficiently put away and organise stock and deliveries to maintain an orderly kitchen and storage area.
- Reliability: Cover shifts when needed (subject to availability) to ensure consistent staffing levels.
- Professional Development: Complete all Subway University courses as directed within the specified time frame.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Sales Growth: Assist in upselling menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
- Financial Accuracy: Perform basic math calculations for order processing and cash handling.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous restaurant experience is preferred, specifically in food preparation, serving, and basic leadership tasks.
- Food Safety: Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Technical Skills: Basic culinary skills and the ability to navigate digital learning platforms (Subway University) are required.
- Time Management: Strong organisational skills to handle multiple tasks, manage deliveries, and meet training deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Ability to engage with customers positively and confidently, while also providing clear guidance to staff during training.
- Adaptability: A flexible approach to scheduling and a willingness to learn in a dynamic team setting.
