Westside Day Nursery are looking for a passionate practitioners to join our team.
We currently require a Toddler room supervisor for our Marfleet setting. Our toddler room takes 16 children per session and can be demanding and busy at times but extremely rewarding. This will be a full time role, the successful candidate will have supervisor experiences in an early years setting, and experiences of managing a small team, you will be able to form good relationships with both children and parents.
Health and safety, food hygiene, safeguarding children and first aid preferred but will be given once probation period has ended, at Westside we encourage all our staff to progress their personal development by offering further training.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily activities and routines of toddlers, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Implement early childhood education practices to promote development and learning.
- Supervise and mentor childcare staff, fostering teamwork and effective communication.
- Maintain first aid readiness and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Engage with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address concerns.
- Organize and lead age-appropriate activities that stimulate growth and creativity.
