Hygiene Operative
Location: Palnure, Newton Stewart
Hours: 40 Hours: Monday to Friday – Back shift
Salary: Starting at £13.45 per hour up to £15.45 per hour based on experience.

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Hygiene & Cleaning Operative to join our team at a busy yogurt manufacturing facility. This is a vital role responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety throughout the factory.
Working on the back shift, you will ensure production areas, equipment, and facilities are cleaned and sanitised to the required standards, helping to support the safe manufacture of high quality dairy products.
Key Responsibilities
· Cleaning and sanitising production lines, machinery, and equipment.
· Carrying out scheduled deep cleaning activities throughout the factory.
· Cleaning floors, walls, drains, and other food production areas.
· Safely using cleaning chemicals and hygiene equipment in accordance with company procedures.
· Dismantling and reassembling equipment for thorough cleaning where required.
· Completing hygiene records and cleaning documentation accurately.
· Reporting any maintenance, hygiene, or food safety concerns.
· Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene regulations.
· Supporting production teams in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
The successful candidate must be comfortable with:
· Working on their feet for the duration of the shift.
· Repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
· Frequent bending, stretching, lifting, and manual handling activities.
· Using industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
· Completing tasks with minimal supervision
This role is suited to individuals who are comfortable with hard work and maintaining high standards of hygiene.

· Is reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
· Has excellent attention to detail.
· Understands the importance of hygiene within a food manufacturing environment.
· Can follow procedures and safety instructions accurately.
· Previous hygiene or industrial cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
