Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Assistant to join our small Farm Shop team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. This role offers an opportunity to work in a small friendly but busy retail environment. The position requires you to have previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, and customer service.
This is a Full Time, Permanent Position please do not apply if you cannot work 5 days a week, 8 hours a day.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on our Home Grown products
- Assist customers in selecting from our large range of local produce
- Maintain the organisation and presentation of products on shelves and displays according to our high standards
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Restock shelves regularly to ensure product availability and visual appeal
- Provide information & help with product choice.
- Daily Stock Rotation & Date Checks
- Daily product orders
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and welcoming for all visitors
Skills
- Excellent communication skills as part of a small team & with customers
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and stock management
- Knowledge of Products
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
This role has responsibilities as part of the full time members of the team. You must enjoy taking on a position that requires you to be reliable and enjoy working with the public to ensure great customer service.
We require someone who can work Saturdays and start between 8am and 9am each working day depending on rota, you will have every Sunday off with another rota day, rotas are available 4 weeks in advance for your convenience.
