We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Asphalt General Manager to lead and oversee our Asphalt Business, playing a key role in driving performance and long-term success across the organisation.
Reporting to the Group Managing Director (Quarries), you will have full responsibility for the operational, commercial, and strategic management of the Leiths Group Asphalt Business. This role requires strong leadership, a focus on continuous improvement, and a commitment to the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and management of the Asphalt Business
- Ensure full compliance with the Quarries Regulations 1999 and all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation
- Maintain close collaboration with quarry management teams as required
- Drive performance across quality, productivity, efficiency, and discipline
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, legislative, and contractual obligations
- Provide professional and practical support to management teams across the business
- Promote a strong safety culture and high operational standards
About You:
- Proven senior management experience within asphalt, quarrying, or a related construction/materials sector
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to influence, support, and challenge at all levels of the organisation
- Results-driven with a strong focus on quality and operational performance
