Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and user account administration
- Support cloud-based platforms, including Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security across the IT infrastructure
- Perform server patching, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery activities
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-related issues
- Support virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
- Maintain and improve cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, and access management
- Document system configurations, procedures, and technical processes
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and technical teams on infrastructure projects
- Assist with network administration and IT service continuity initiatives
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration
- Experience supporting virtualised environments (VMware or Hyper-V)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VPNs, switching, and firewalls
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or cloud infrastructure platforms
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation
- Exposure to cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware, or ITIL
