The Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) is seeking to appoint a Development Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join the NSCP’s partnership team (employed within NCC’s Strategic Safeguarding and Independent Review) which leads on issues related to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children across the safeguarding partnership agencies.
The Development Manager role will lead the NSCP response to serious child safeguarding cases and the child death review partners’ response to child deaths. This is challenging subject matter, and the postholder will be provided with excellent support and supervision along with dedicated business support.
The Development Manager post includes gathering and analysing information, writing rapid review reports, and ensuring that NSCP partners and relevant agencies work together in order to effectively deliver the functions of the Local Child Safeguarding Practice Review as set out in statutory guidance.
This role is key in driving forward continuous improvement across partner agencies. You will demonstrate a strengths-based leadership style, characterised by the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues across the NSCP and a commitment to high quality work and improved outcomes for children and young people.
You will need to have outstanding organisational and communication skills; significant experience of safeguarding/child protection work; experience of strategic and developmental work and sound knowledge of relevant key legislation and national guidance. The NSCP would be delighted to hear from any candidates from across the statutory safeguarding partners (health, police, NCC) or relevant agencies (a list of which can be found in the Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Arrangements) who wish to undertake this unique and interesting role.
