Paragon Plating is a well-established specialist electroplating company based in Billingshurst, West Sussex. We provide high-quality services to customers across a range of industries, with quality, reliability and customer service at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for an experienced Electroplater to join our production team for an immediate start.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a small experienced team working in a plating facility where high standards and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a variety of electroplating processes on manufactured components
- Work with plating finishes including electrolytic plating, ENIG, Palladium and tin and other processes (experiences with additional finished would be advantageous)
- Prepare components using masking and surface preparation techniques
- Jig and wire components ready for processing
- Monitor plating processes to ensure consistent quality and compliance with specifications
- Measure plating thickness using XRF equipment (training can be provided)
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet customer drawings and specifications
- Maintain plating tanks, chemical solutions and equipment in accordance with company procedures
- Handle components carefully to prevent damage throughout the production process
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Follow all health and safety and environmental procedures
- Work closely with colleagues to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines
Experience and Skills
- Previous experience working within an electroplating or metal finishing environment
- A good understanding of electroplating processes and quality requirements
- Experience with electrolytic plating, ENIG, palladium and tin and similar plating processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to undertake manual handling duties and lift up to 25kg
- Basic IT skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Positive, reliable and hardworking attitude
- Strong awareness of health and safety
- Basic maths skills for measurements and process adjustments
