The Role
Zen Educate is seeking a committed and experienced Life Skills Teacher to join our secondary provision on a full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people by supporting their personal, social, and emotional development alongside their academic progress.
You will work closely with students who require targeted life skills support, delivering structured interventions and helping them develop the skills needed to succeed both in school and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality life skills teaching tailored to individual student needs
- Plan and implement targeted interventions to support social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Support students presenting with challenging behaviour, using positive behaviour management strategies
- Work collaboratively with pastoral staff, SEN teams, and external agencies
- Monitor progress and contribute to reviews, reports, and planning meetings
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experienced teachers are strongly encouraged to apply, however NQTs are also welcome OR Cover Supervisors who have experience supporting with Life Skills
- Proven experience supporting students with life skills development
- Experience delivering interventions in a secondary setting
- Confident and skilled in managing challenging behaviour
- Patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education
