We are seeking a friendly and professional individual to undertake general waitressing duties within our establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and supporting the smooth operation of the dining area. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with seating arrangements
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using efficient communication skills
- Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Handle customer enquiries courteously via phone or in person, demonstrating good phone etiquette
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including table clearing and resetting
- Process payments accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery
- Support with data entry tasks related to reservations or customer feedback as required
- Communicate effectively with colleagues in multiple languages, including Spanish and English, to assist diverse clientele
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is advantageous
- Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, particularly in data entry tasks
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service with a friendly demeanour
- Good phone etiquette and professional appearance at all times
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; a positive attitude towards teamwork and multitasking is essential
