Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our small but friendly team in providing high-quality care and education to young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and creating a nurturing environment for children to thrive. Must have a full and relevant Early Years qualification.
Duties
- Implementing engaging activities to support children's learning and development
- Providing personal care, including changing, to ensure the well-being of each child
- Communicating effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Managing the nursery environment to promote safety and cleanliness
- Demonstrating leadership skills to guide and support other staff members
Experience
- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is necessary.
- Room Leader experience would be useful but not essential.
- SENCo training would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills in English to engage with children and parents effectively and an ability to work well within a team using effective communication
- Knowledge of child development principles to tailor activities accordingly
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining an organised approach.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 32 per week
