Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Part-Time Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely while maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. Prior experience in delivery driving or commercial driving is preferred, along with a good understanding of vehicle maintenance and mechanical knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods to various locations within the designated area
- Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs in accordance with schedules
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during driving duties
- Assist with loading and unloading goods as required
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to management
Qualifications
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Previous experience in delivery driver roles is advantageous but not essential
- Good physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long periods of driving
