What We Are Looking For...
At The Dusty Miller, we’re looking for an ambitious and hands-on Kitchen Manager to join our leadership team and help shape the future of our growing hospitality business.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced kitchen professional who enjoys leading from the front whilst also taking ownership of standards, systems, stock control and team development.
Working closely with the Business Owner and General Manager, you’ll have genuine influence over the operation and play an important role in the next stage of our growth.
We’re particularly interested in hearing from candidates currently working within branded pub, restaurant or casual dining businesses who are looking for greater autonomy, responsibility and career progression.
About The Role…
This is a hands-on Kitchen Manager position. You’ll be expected to lead services, support the team during busy trading periods and maintain exceptional food standards whilst also managing the wider kitchen operation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating and developing the kitchen team
- Maintaining consistently high food quality and presentation standards
- Managing stock control, ordering and wastage
- Driving food GP performance
- Creating and managing rotas
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety requirements
- Supporting recruitment, training and development of team members
- Working closely with the General Manager to deliver an exceptional guest experience
- Driving organisation, consistency and accountability throughout the kitchen
About You…
You could currently be:
- A Kitchen Manager looking for a fresh challenge
- An Assistant Kitchen Manager ready to step up
- A Senior Sous Chef looking to move into management
- A Kitchen Team Leader with strong leadership experience
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience within a branded hospitality environment or high-volume kitchen
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of stock control, labour management and food GP
- A passion for delivering high standards
- The ability to develop and motivate teams
- A positive, proactive and organised approach
