Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to support children's recreational activities within our organisation. The ideal candidate will foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where children can develop social skills, creativity, and confidence. This role involves supervising play sessions, organising activities, and ensuring the wellbeing of all children under your care. Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of French is a desirable bonus. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs. Responsibilities
- Supervise children during organised play sessions and free play periods, ensuring safety at all times
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote social interaction, creativity, and physical development
- Support children with their individual needs, providing guidance and encouragement during activities
- Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a welcoming environment
- Assist with organising special events or outings as required
- Uphold organisational policies regarding child safeguarding and health & safety procedures
Requirements
- Prior experience in childcare, teaching, nannying or similar roles is highly desirable
- Ability to communicate fluently in English; knowledge of French is an advantage
- Valid driving licence preferred for transportation duties
- Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities
- Responsible, patient, and caring demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly during organised hours that may include afternoons or weekends as needed

Pay: £15,445.00-£16,581.00 per year
