Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our team. The role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assisting residents or clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
- Supporting the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs
- Providing companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, residents, and family members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Assisting with light household tasks in home care settings or organisational duties within care homes
- Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any concerns promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Driving licence is preferred for roles involving home visits
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathise and build rapport with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating organisation and reliability in delivering consistent care
- A caring attitude with a commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals in a respectful manner
Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
