Group Operations Support Operative
Location: Derbyshire (working across The White Hart, The Hurt Arms, The Canal Inn and The Horse & Jockey)
Salary: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 30 hours per week
Additional hours may be available during busy event periods and seasonal operations.
About Us
We operate four busy hospitality venues across Derbyshire, hosting weddings, events, festivals and outdoor functions throughout the year.
We are looking for a practical, hardworking and dependable individual to work directly alongside our Operations Director, supporting the day-to-day maintenance, logistics and operational requirements across all four venues.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. We are looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in their work and can work independently without needing constant supervision.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our venues, events and outdoor facilities.
Typical duties will include:
- Moving and setting up event equipment between venues
- Transporting and maintaining horsebox bars, food trailers and event trailers
- Supporting the setup and breakdown of weddings, events and festivals
- Maintaining outdoor areas and grounds
- General maintenance and repairs across multiple sites
- Assisting with cellar organisation and upkeep
- Pressure washing and venue presentation projects
- Managing and organising equipment storage areas
- Collecting materials, supplies and stock when required
- Working alongside contractors and suppliers on site
- Moving furniture, equipment and operational resources between venues
- Supporting a variety of operational projects across the business

- Hold a full UK driving licence
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Confidence driving small vans, large vans and tipper vehicles
- Ability to tow and manoeuvre trailers safely
- Flexibility to work across multiple sites when required
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Property or site maintenance
- Grounds maintenance
- Construction or trade environments
- Agriculture or farming
- Event operations
- Hospitality maintenance
- Vehicle and trailer operations
