Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Café All Rounder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and possess a keen eye for detail. This role involves a variety of tasks, including food and beverage preparation, serving customers, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. The position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills across multiple areas within the café setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of food and beverages, including coffee, tea, and light snacks, icecreams, desserts ensuring quality standards are met.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Serve customers in a courteous and professional manner, taking orders accurately and handling transactions efficiently.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or salads as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage stock levels, restock supplies, and ensure the café remains organised throughout the shift.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards by engaging positively with patrons and addressing any enquiries or concerns promptly.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the café.
Requirements
- Previous cafe experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during shifts.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends/school holidays and bank holidays .
