About the Role:
An established and growing dairy distribution business is seeking a motivated and commercially driven Sales Representative to expand its customer base across the North West. The company supplies essential daily goods including fresh milk, bread, butter, and other staple food products to a wide range of commercial clients.
This is a proactive, field-based role focused on identifying and securing new business opportunities. You will play a key part in driving revenue growth by building relationships with local businesses such as coffee shops, cafés, restaurants, schools, care homes, and convenience retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the local area and beyond
- Prospect and generate leads through cold calling, networking, and site visits
- Develop strong relationships with decision-makers across hospitality, education, and retail sectors
- Present and promote the company’s product range, highlighting quality, reliability, and service benefits
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure long-term partnerships
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to onboarding and account handover
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer interactions
- Collaborate with internal operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management (B2B preferred)
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-term business relationships
- Commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset
- Full UK driving licence (required)
Experience within food distribution, FMCG, or hospitality supply is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £37,000.00-£47,000.00 per year
