Job Summary
Table Twenty Eight, Merchant Square, are seeking a Bar/Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our restaurant and cocktail bar. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar and restaurant staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Oversee drink preparation and presentation to meet quality standards
- Manage daily operations including opening, closing, and shift handovers
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Serve customers efficiently while providing exceptional hospitality experience
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, handling complaints professionally
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and monitor inventory to prevent shortages or wastage
- Train new team members on service procedures, health & safety policies, and company standards
- Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and motivation
Qualifications
- Proven experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of wine, cocktails and spirits
- Experience in serving, barista work, or culinary roles is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy setting
- Minimum of a year's experience in a bar or restaurant is essential
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
