Solar Surveyor – Domestic and Commercial Solar PV and Battery Storage – South Wales
Valour Holdings is a specialist solar sales agency based in South Wales. We act as the dedicated sales arm for national installer brands- we generate the leads, survey the properties, and close the deals, while our installer partners handle the compliance and installation. It means you focus purely on what earns you money: surveying and selling.
We’re looking for a Solar Surveyor to attend pre-booked home appointments across South Wales: Bridgend, Cardiff, Swansea, Llanelli and Neath Port Talbot. You will be assessing properties for solar panel and battery storage installations and presenting a tailored system design to the homeowner on the day.

- Every homeowner has already met your canvasser face to face and knows you’re coming- a personal relationship exists before you knock the door
- No internet or Facebook-generated leads and none of the no-shows and tyre-kickers that come with them
- All your appointments sit within 30 minutes or less of each other- no wasted hours driving across the country
- A minimum of two surveys booked into your diary each day
The results speak for themselves: as of 6th July 2026 we’re converting 32% of surveys sat into closed deals with these canvasser-booked leads. The hard work is done before you arrive — you just need to slot the ball in the back of the net.
What you’ll be doing
- Attending pre-booked, canvasser-generated home appointments on your local home patch
- Carrying out roof, loft and electrical surveys for solar PV and battery storage suitability
- Designing the right system for the property and the customer’s usage
- Presenting costs and savings clearly
- Closing the sale on the day where it’s right for the customer
- Handing over clean, accurate survey data for installation
What we’re looking for
- Based within 30 minutes of either: Bridgend, Cardiff, Swansea, Llanelli or Neath Port Talbot
- Experience in solar, renewable energy, home improvement sales, or field-based surveying
- Confident presenting to homeowners face to face
- Full UK driving licence and your own vehicle (mileage is paid)
- Confident and charismatic in a sales environment
- Honest, direct, and good with people- we sell on trust, not pressure
Nice to have (not essential)
- Knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters or battery storage
- Background in energy, construction, roofing or electrical work
- Experience with in-home sales presentations
What you get
- £28,000 – £35,000 basic salary depending on experience
- Uncapped commission — realistic first-year OTE £55,000 – £70,000
- Your own local patch with your own dedicated canvasser feeding your diary
- Minimum two pre-booked surveys per day, all within 30 minutes of each other
