Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish served
- Manage food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Develop innovative menus in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain rigorous hygiene standards across the kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, promoting professional development and teamwork
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain organisation of the kitchen workspace for efficiency and safety
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy pub, restaurant or hospitality environment
- Extensive experience with a strong background in food production and preparation
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster collaboration
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent cooking skills across a variety of cuisines and techniques
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is essential
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Good understanding of food service operations, including serving procedures
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
