Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter & Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various residential and commercial projects. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking to ensure a smooth finish
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care
- Interpret project specifications and colour schemes to meet client expectations
- Operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to coordinate work schedules and ensure project deadlines are met
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
- Assist in the selection of appropriate materials and colours based on client requirements
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating
- Valid driving licence is essential for travel between sites
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and colour charts accurately
- Strong attention to detail with a high standard of workmanship
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
