Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting culinary staff, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts
- Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with organisational duties as required
- Restocking supplies and ensuring all items are stored correctly after cleaning
- Adhering to health & safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and hygiene standards within a hospitality setting is beneficial
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles can contribute to understanding customer service expectations but is not mandatory
