Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts
- Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with organisational duties as required
- Restocking supplies and ensuring all items are stored correctly after cleaning
- Adhering to health & safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and hygiene standards within a hospitality setting is beneficial
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles can contribute to understanding customer service expectations but is not mandatory
