Factory Assistant – Thornaby

Central Employment is acting as a recruitment agency to recruit a General Operative on a temporary basis for our client, Europe’s longest-established independent supplier of printed carton packaging. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment with potential for long-term employment.
Overview of the Role
Working in a busy, fast-paced environment, using your own initiative to ensure each job is completed to the highest standards. You will assist in the manufacture of printed folded cartons to the required glued specification, in line with business and customer objectives.
Responsibilities

Following the instructions detailed on the worksheets

Completing all related paperwork and inputting data correctly

Supporting both the gluing and breaking-out teams where required

Maintaining a clean and tidy work area

Adhering to high standards of health and safety

Communicating and promoting the values, ethics, and culture of the company

Carrying out any other reasonable duties related to the role

No formal qualifications required, but previous experience in manufacturing is advantageous
Hours and Pay
Three shift weekly rotation:
Mornings - 6.00am – 1.35pm
Afternoons- 1.30pm – 9.05pm
Nights - 9.00pm – 6.00am
Pay rate: £12.71 per hour
30-minute unpaid break per shift

Temporary with potential to become permanent
