Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting well-being, independence, and comfort for those in their care. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Follow individual care plans to deliver personalised care tailored to each person's needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in condition
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all clients
Qualifications
- Driving licence is desirable for transporting clients and supporting home care duties
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Good IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively with team members
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team
