Location: Bedford Distribution Centre
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
Shift Times:
- 4:00pm - 4:00am
- 5:00pm – 5:00am
- 6:00pm - 6:00am
- 4:00am - 4:00pm
An HGV Class 1 Licence is required for this role.
As an HGV Class 1 Shunter, you’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth and safe running of the Distribution Centre operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with Transport and DC teams to ensure trailer availability at the required loading times
- Controlling yard space and bays to maintain safe and efficient operations
- Completing audit trails of trailer movements using tracking sheets
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders via 2-way radio
- Liaising with teams to understand trailer requirements for upcoming loads
- Monitoring and presenting service and MOT trailers
To apply, you’ll need:
- A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- A valid Driver CPC card
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous shunting experience is preferred but not essential
