Salary: FTE salary £27,810 - £36,048.97 - this is dependant on qualifications & experience - proof of qualifications will be requested. The salary will be pro rata based on 45 weeks.

About us:
WS Training are looking to appoint a Study Programme Tutor (maternity cover up to 10 months) for our post 16 and SEND courses including Vocational Studies or/and maths, Employability, English and PSHE.

Key Responsibilities:
The role includes but is not limited to :- (A full job description is available upon request)
- Teaching FS English and Vocational Studies Level 1
- Contributing to the initial assessment process, induction activities and identifying gaps in learning.
- The use of baseline assessments to plan suitable sessions enabling learners to access learning that is motivational and inspiring.
- Assisting students to improve their own learning and performance by developing their study skills.
- Devising appropriate interventions to support students to remain on track for completion of their course.
- Agreeing and putting in place relevant targets and actions.
- Taking responsibility for planning and delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment to our students who have a broad range of barriers to learning and/or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

- Do you have knowledge of how to support young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities or barriers to learning?
- Are you able to use your knowledge to adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of young people?
- Do you have the commitment, skills and motivation to engage learners positively?
- Are you able to commit to continuous improvement of provision through imaginative and differentiated lessons?
- Do you have the ability to form good relationships with other staff, children, parents and the wider community?
- Do you have a subject support qualification at Level 2 in Literacy or Numeracy?
