Semi - Skilled Plant Technician
Monday - Friday
£16- £18PH + VAN + FUEL CARD
As a PDI Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections, servicing, and testing of a wide range of plant machinery, ensuring equipment is safe, fully operational, and ready for customer use.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on plant equipment.
- Inspect, test, and prepare machinery prior to delivery.
- Complete servicing, repairs, and fault-finding as required.
- Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer and company standards.
- Accurately complete inspection reports and service documentation.
- Identify and rectify any defects before machines leave the depot.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Work closely with the workshop and service teams to meet delivery schedules.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience working on plant machinery, agricultural equipment, HGVs, powered access, forklifts, or similar heavy equipment.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience carrying out servicing, inspections, and repairs.
- A positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence.
